Abbey Sub-Organist (Thomas Trotter presents music by Austrian organist-composer Franz Danksagmüller as well as works by Liszt, Saint-Saëns and Alain in this penultimate Festival concert.

In this closing concert of the 2021 Summer Organ Festival, Sub-Organist Peter Holder plays his own transcription of Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals in the composer’s 100th anniversary year.

Please note this concert was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday 13th July.

About Thomas Trotter

Fast establishing a reputation as one of the most exciting organists of his generation, Peter Holder has held the post of Sub-Organist of Westminster Abbey since October 2017.

Alongside his Abbey duties as principal organist for the daily services, he is increasingly in demand as a solo performer and made his BBC Proms debut in 2019. He regularly broadcasts for radio and television and is an organ tutor at the Royal Academy of Music.

Booking

Tickets must be booked in advance via Eventbrite. It will not be possible to purchase tickets on the door.

Seating

‘This concert is planned as a socially-distanced event with reduced capacity, in line with current government guidance.

Seats are available singly or in pairs, with pairs suitable only for attendees from the same household or support bubble. Seating is unreserved and our staff will allocate the most appropriate seats within the relevant price band when you arrive.

Timings and access

Entry is via the Great West Door from 6.30pm. Performances begin at 7.00pm and last for approximately one hour without an interval, finishing at around 8.00pm.

Please ensure you arrive on time as we cannot guarantee that we will be able to admit latecomers.
