State Funeral latest

The State Funeral of King Charles III will take place at Westminster Abbey on [D+10] at 11.00 am.

His Majesty The King and members of the Royal Family will attend the service. The congregation will also include Foreign Royal Families, the Prime Minister, HM Government and Opposition, Heads of State and representatives from King Charles’s patronages.

Attendance is by invitation only. The service will be broadcast live on UK and global media.

The funeral will be conducted by [The Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle], Dean of Westminster. The sermon will be preached by The Most Reverend and Right Honourable [Justin Welby], Archbishop of Canterbury, Primate of All England and Metropolitan.

The Choirs of Westminster Abbey and His Majesty’s Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace will perform under the direction of [Andrew Nethsingha], the Abbey’s Organist and Master of the Choristers.

The Abbey’s tenor bell will toll every minute for XXX minutes, reflecting the years of King Charles’s life, before the funeral.
