The Reverend Robert Latham
Minor Canon and Sacrist
The Reverend Robert Latham has been Sacrist at Westminster Abbey since September 2021.
The Sacrist, along with the Precentor, is responsible for all worship and liturgy in the Abbey and in St Margaret's Church. This includes the celebration of the Eucharist and the provision of Sunday worship, as well as many special and annual services.
Before joining the Abbey, Robert served as curate in the Fromeside Benefice of Churches in the Diocese of Bristol.
He was ordained priest in 2019, after three years study and formation at Ripon College Cuddesdon and a further year as deacon in the Fromeside Benefice. Prior to training for ordination, he was a member of the congregation at Bristol Cathedral where he served as Head Server.
