Sir Harry D'janogly
Sir Harry D'janogly, industrialist, textile manufacturer and philanthropist, was a generous donor to the Westminster Abbey restoration appeal which culminated in the cleaning of Henry VII's Lady Chapel in 1995.
A small window, designed by Alfred Fisher of Chapel Studios, can be seen in this chapel (together with windows of other donors). This shows his coat of arms and crest with Hebrew text and the inscription:
Sir Harry Djanogly CBE
Sir Harry and Lady Djanogly were also kind donors to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries in the Abbey triforium and a donor window can be seen there.
Sir Harry was born on 1st August 1938 and was knighted in 1993. With his wife Carol Ann he supports many British art galleries and museums. His son Jonathan is a politician.
