Sir John Salisbury

Sir John Salisbury, one of the knights of the chamber of King Richard II, is buried in St John the Baptist's chapel in Westminster Abbey but has no monument or gravestone.

He was condemned to death in the Merciless Parliament, with other knights including Sir John Berners who is also buried in the chapel, accused of treason. They are said to have taken advantage of the king's youth to turn him against his proper counsellors. He was executed in May 1388.
