Anne Boleyn

Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII and daughter of Thomas Boleyn, Earl of Ormond and Wiltshire, was crowned queen in Westminster Abbey by Thomas Cranmer on Whit Sunday 1st June 1533. The celebrations took place over four days. She travelled from Greenwich to the Tower of London by river. On 31st May she rode through the City of London to Westminster.

None of Henry's later wives had a coronation. After her execution on 19th May 1536 she was buried in the chapel of St Peter within the Tower of London.
