Join us for an Abbey Christmas
Wednesday, 22nd December 2021
Westminster Abbey invites everyone to join us this Christmas to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with traditional carols, festive readings and some very special performances on television and online.
Watch Abbey Christmas services
A Service of Lessons and Carols will be broadcast on Thursday 23rd December at 6.00 pm, and Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve at 11.00 pm. Both will be available to watch again for one week afterwards. Find out how to watch:
Carols and choral anthems will be sung by the Choir of Westminster Abbey conducted by James O’Donnell, the Organist and Master of the Choristers, in two services which will be streamed live on the Abbey website.
Royal Carols
‘Royal Carols: Together At Christmas’, a community carol service hosted by Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge at the Abbey on the 8th December will be shown on ITV (UK only) on Christmas Eve at 7.30 pm.
Abbey marshal, Leticia helped The Duchess with preparations for the service, including decorating Christmas trees donated by Her Majesty The Queen from Windsor Great Park, and arranging wreaths that were donated by the Royal Horticultural Society.
