Summer events season to celebrate Creation
Monday, 22nd April 2024
Westminster Abbey will celebrate the beauty and diversity of the natural world with Creation, a series of special events running throughout the summer.
The season will open on Wednesday 19th June with a performance of Haydn’s great oratorio, The Creation, performed by the Abbey choir and leading chamber orchestra the Britten Sinfonia.
Throughout the summer, there will be the chance to enjoy a stroll around the Abbey’s green spaces, taking a tour of the historic gardens under the expert guidance of the Abbey’s Head Gardener, Jan Pancheri.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to take part in an afternoon of restorative yoga in Westminster Abbey’s 960-year-old walled garden. The season includes a chance to join artist Luke Adam Hawker for an afternoon of nature-inspired drawing in a guided workshop.
