The Obamas Visit Westminster Abbey

The President of the United States of America, Mr Barack Obama, laid a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday 24 May 2011, the first day of his State Visit to Her Majesty The Queen.
The President, accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs Michelle Obama, was welcomed to the Abbey by the Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr John Hall, who introduced members of Chapter and other members of the Collegiate body.
The Choir of Westminster Abbey, conducted by the Organist and Master of the Choristers, James O’Donnell, sang Justorum Animae by William Byrd.
The Dean escorted the President while the Sub-Dean accompanied the First Lady on a brief tour of the Abbey before inviting them to sign the Distinguished Visitors' Book.
