Summer Festival 2021

We will be hosting a range of summer events, including tours of never-before-seen areas of the Abbey and a behind the scenes look at The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding ceremony.

There will also be music, outdoor cinema, family events and more.

What's happening?

From July to September there will be over 100 amazing events in eight weeks. These events will take place across various parts of the Abbey and many of them will be free of charge.

Royal wedding tour

Royal wedding tour

There is a chance for you to walk in the footsteps of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during the year of their 10th wedding anniversary. Inside the Royal Wedding, a new tour led by the vergers, will highlight moments from the couple's happy day inside the Abbey.

Hidden Highlights tour

Hidden Highlights tour

For the first time ever, the Abbey will be hosting a Hidden Highlights tour, which will showcase areas not usually open to the general public. These areas include the Jerusalem Chamber where Henry IV died in 1413, and one of the oldest parts of the Abbey; a lost medieval sacristy used by 13th century monks and the Library.
