Edward Ashurst Morris

In St Margaret's church Westminster, in the north wall, is a stained glass window to Edward Ashurst Morris, designed by Edward Frampton. The inscription reads:

In affectionate memory of Edward Ashurst Morris, who died 17th December 1890 aged 27. Erected by his brother Alfred Morris

The upper lights contain coats of arms and the central lights represent the picture of the Mystic Nativity by Botticelli in the National Gallery. In the lower panels are two brothers clasping hands and there are two figures representing Fortitude, with a sword and shield and Charity, embracing little children. Edward died shortly after his marriage and a few weeks after the baptism of his child.
